The plan...
Sophie- Finish painting in 2 new eco guest rooms (with pigments, lime and a little emulsion)
- Make curtains (with wonderful rather retro material from market) – chose carefully, want to make the rooms really beautiful and a touch original
- Finish quarterly update report for the Park (Including snares, burning, poachers caught, all management issues)
- Finish community accounts and general accounts (who knows why I have become head of accounting!)
- Put my new visitor notes in rooms, write brief bit about the rooms and their organic, local construction
- Run through guest room preparation with Maria again (in preparation for 2 on 24th then 4 visitors on 26th)
- Plan menus with Antonio and write (fresh food) shopping list for Jasper
- Oversee insect transects and take insects back to UK (get paperwork from Nelson)
- Write simple contract for Jasper (who is going to oversee salaries/community food/essentials while we are away)
- Hopefully find time to make Christmas cards
Dominik
- Fix loo make new concrete base in old ensuite
- Fix terrible Chinese plastic piping in new bathrooms that keeps on breaking
- Hold community meeting about fund – press Mareja Assoc to decide how to spend money sustainably....and agree that funds for neighbouring communities Sauli and Nanduli are lodged with District
- Mend aerial, install inventor (kindly lent by Luke) and get TV going again for community
- With Veleho Carpenter, old assistant and new young assistant renew very large roof on main house
- Rangers to finish rebuilding ranger shed (with grass/bamboo)
- Pump water with MAN truck from waterhole and leave full tank for guests expected over Christmas
- SECURE the bush for 3 months....
Dominik and Sophie
- Finish two new guestrooms – clean, put of mosquito nets, wax floor, worry about termite attack and spread petrol here and there
- Host community party on 19th – an early Christmas
- Get rid of large mouse/small rat that is in our bedroom and ate the new sponge last night and a pinned cicada waiting to be put in our pinned collection
- Distribute Timberland boots and t-shirts to everyone
